  Being a part of this digital era, many of us find our so called soul mates through the social media, and many don’t. For the ones who don’t, they are often fooled and cheated upon by the ones they fall for. Many a times the profiles are fake ones and they ask for money saying they need money for some reason. And when a person is in love, he or she doesn’t think and just agrees to the things the other person says. Many of the profiles are fake ones and they are just made for that reason itself. Security is not always guaranteed in the cyber world. People say that I like this boy/girl but I’ve never seen or met him/her. How can someone fall in love with a person you have never ever seen or met?

DANGERS OF ONLINE DATING:

1.     Human Trafficking

With the rise in human trafficking, it’s not always safe for you to be meeting up with strangers. And guess what? These people love using social media to attract young people into hazardous situations that could get them into their trap. Be cautious when your new lover offers you a job or wants you to model for the. Job offers online are the latest route to lure young people into being trafficked. 

2.     Scams

Online safety and security is not always guaranteed in the cyber world. As much as you trust on your online partner, you could also be attacked online as a victim of identity theft or it even be scamming. Never ever send your bank account details, home address, Aadhar card number, your photographs or anything that could personally access them into your life especially if you’ve only met them online and never in person. People usually want to get into a relationship and then ask for money or nude pictures. Do not send any of these.

3.     Risk of being sexually assaulted

No one knows a person’s true intentions until you know them personally or have met them. And in the case on online dating, you never know in person. Many sex offenders seek their next victim online and if you are underage, never meet someone alone as many of them coax people much younger than them.
If you decide to meet someone you met online, keep these things in mind:
  •         Always meet in a public place
  •         Always tell someone whom you are meeting and where are you going
  •         Never leave your drink unattended because you risk being spiked
  •         Never give anyone your personal information
  •         Always ask your friend or an adult to be with you
  •         Always share your location with someone you love


Dating now has become like a joke. If you have nothing to do, so let’s start dating and let’s get into a relationship which will not even last for an entire month or even an entire week. So one person must be aware of such foolish people who just want to date in the sense of DESPERATION.

The signs of desperate daters are as follows:

1. They are Always available.
2. Desperate daters are gluey.
3. They always need relationship status updates.
4. Such people chase compliments.
5. They drop their standards.
AND THE WORST OF ALL!
6. They drop their FRIENDS.
